Other Yankee 30s

Evening Star's head, seen from the saloon, overlooking what could be considered to be a space for navigating - although it's pretty small. The electrical panel is well protected, though, and the cabinet work is lovely.

L-shaped galley, in front of a quarter berth, across from the head. Nice layout, although a person might like a little more counter space - but that could be achieved with sink and stove covers, and maybe a flip-up counter over the saloon settee...

Evening Star's saloon. This is obviously a very different approach to laying out a Yankee 30's interior - and while I'm not sure that the line "classis lady" does anything to improve it, I do like how it opens out the interior, and how it proves that putting the head to starboard just as you enter the boat is possible. I also like the L-shaped galley. Not sure from the pictures where the motor is in this boat.

Evening Star's transom - what a paint job!

Felicity is the only Yankee 30 I can find with 5 equal sized portlights per side. She looks nice - and long! - but I like the look of two larger ports aft better.

Looking aft in the saloon on Avocet. Note the danforth anchor tucked away neatly behind the companionway stairs.

Starboard-side galley on Avocet. Note the beautiful job Andy did mounting the radar/chartplotter display unit. It swings out into the companionway for viewing from the cockpit, and the way he's done it it can still angle up and down to optimize the viewing angle. This is a replacement for a hatch that was there covering the backs of the instruments on the bulkhead (which aren't there anymore). Very nice work indeed.

Beautiful job incorporating the VHF and SSB into the dinette area, making it into the nav station on Avocet.

Down the companionway steps to the one bit of wooden sole on a MkI or MkII Yankee 30 - on Avocet.

Detail of Avocet's winches - teak pad under both makes coaming more attractive.
