Propane

The boat came with a two-burner propane stove with oven, which should be great for cooking on – but it has a problem. The propane tank was installed somewhere in the vicinity of the stern pulpit, with the regulator mounted on the inside of the cockpit coaming (inside the cockpit!). The regulator is nice and rusty now, and I certainly don’t want to keep it on the inside of the cockpit coaming, so I need to come up with a better plan.

Checking on what other Yankee 30 owners have done will definitely help. I’m hoping to find somewhere in the aft end of the boat where I can install a build-in propane locker with proper overboard ventilation, but we’ll see.
